I had so much fun eating in Jordan! If you are traveling through or visiting Jordan and you love food, here is a list of the Jordanian foods I recommend you try not to miss! These dishes include national dishes (some rooted in Bedouin culture) as well as dishes you may find through out the Levant (spread by Ottoman rule).
I've shared posts about houses of worship that were not mine and 11 countries later, I finally get to write about my own pilgrimage. This is my experience visiting the Jordan River’s famed Bethany Beyond the Jordan Jesus Baptism Site. I've briefly been to Saudi Arabia and saw waves of ardent pilgrims. I understood the significance but not the immensely personal, non physical healing pilgrimages offer. I totally appreciate that now. 2019 really was out here choking me and those I love. I say this in all heart-wrenching honesty: I do NOT know how I could've made it out without this memory.
