SAC EATS: Arctic Fox Shaved Snow and Desserts
Dear Foodie Fam,
Shaved Snow served with boba, syrups and fruits is a Taiwanese dish but flavored ice goodies like Raspados (Mexican) and slushied Halo Halo (Filipino) seem to pop up in a lot of cultures in places that are hot.
Arctic Fox Desserts adds an extra twist to this icy trend by making sure all syrups and ice uses 100% fresh fruit. Which is good to hear, because our 8 year old nephew, Dutch and I definitely had quite a bit of their menu!
California Gold: Fresh mango chunks, mango jelly stars, and tajin.⠀Tajin is a Mexican seasoning of chile peppers, lime, and salt. Simply sprinkle tajin on fruit like mango or watermelon and you've got a sweet-sour-spicy snack unlike any American snack you've had, before. You are welcome.⠀
Tutti Frutti Custom: *1st* Taro snow, fresh strawberries, fruity pebbles, condensed milk, strawberry drizzle, lychee jelly. Fruity and fun. Especially if you drink it with the taro milk tea to diffuse any hyper sweetness. The strawberries here are so fresh. I really appreciate that the syrup is not artificial.⠀
Custom Strawberry: Had me SHOOK. A snowy strawberry cheesecake! Strawberry snow, fresh strawberries, strawberry popping boba, graham cracker sprinkles, strawberry syrup.
So I really love the snow here but I gotta say, I don't think I'll be able to come in without leaving with a drink, too. The boba fruity milk teas are pleasing, but the unexpected teas are the ones that really stole my heart. My nephew loved the Sunrise with the popping Strawberry boba and mango stars. I fell in love with the Lavender lemonade with Sweet Pea syrup and the Coconut milk tea with with Sweet pea syrup. They are just sweet enough and totally refreshing and taste nourishing!
OH! And I canNOT forget. The Arctic Breath... It's a funny sensation- liquid nitrogen in a cup, skewering smokey snacks into your mouth! The snacks themselves taste like cereal when they fizzle down but the experience is something! You should def share it with friends if you haven't given them a try!
