First… What does Sakura taste like?
Like some other flowers, sakura is edible. Freshly plucked, cherry blossoms are pretty bland. To bring out it’s subtle floral flavor, Japanese vendors take this national symbol and freeze-dry or pickle it in vinegar, then salt it. Sakura leaves can also be dried or ground into desserts.
