Flashback a minute ago: I was the PARADIGM of zombie-mode.
Athens International Airport is lustrous- sparkling in gold morning light... "Drippin' in Finesse" ...would you believe from the airport and through our entire stay in Greece, the only music we EVER heard was the bright lark of classic jazz (like walking through a pathetically cute rom-com)?
Sleek, effortlessly chic Europeans floated by. Dutch was as sweetly excited as a kid off to Disneyland! I, on the other hand, am a light sleeper. I had not a WINK of sleep from Luxor to Cairo and Cairo to Athens and I was NOT drippin' in finesse, I was swaddled in grog and blah!!!!
...Yet all it took was the sight and smell of the masses of flaky, buttery filled pastries at the gates... Dutch got me one and that jewel BROUGHTCHA GIRL BACK TO LIFE after all these 1st world problems! Thank you Everest for reminding me it's all 1st world problems...
